Rêve de Paille becomes Maison Girault-Dehlinger

This new name is rooted in a family story: Girault and Dehlinger, two surnames connected to the same lineage. It expresses the bond between heritage, memory and creation, which lies at the heart of a body of work dedicated to heraldic coats of arms and straw marquetry artworks.

After three years of discreet foundational work and two years of in-depth training in heraldry, this change marks a natural step forward: the affirmation of an art house where large-scale artworks and more intimate pieces coexist, guided by the same commitment to craftsmanship, precision and excellence.

A timeless craft, reimagined...
... in the service of heraldry ...
... and artisanal excellence.
Created using French-grown rye straw

Rye straw is grown and harvested using traditional methods.

It is then sorted, dried and dyed.

Each strand of straw is carefully split in two, glued on its matte side, and flattened onto the chosen support using a folding bone.

The silica varnish enhances the straw’s natural radiance and creates a delicate play of light across each piece.
